unfuckingbelieveable.
i kno ive been told that LJ is the place where most of the bitches live, but i never thought these people (even T&T 'fans' themselves) would bite their own kind.
im just feeling really sad and angry about why i was the "bad guy" of it all. all i did was ask them to "Please NOT u/l and just buy the singles instead because theyre really worth it." and i just got attacked by these "T&T fans" that mistook or found my message offensive and disrespectful. i know fully well that i was not the one that started an argument. i only told them what i thought was right and the reasons why. if thats a crime too, then whats the world coming to?
i kno i cant stop all the u/ls and d/ls, but its important that we keep trying. theres a reason why people want u/ls. because theyre lazy, "poor," dont have the resources, and/or newbies. but the reason why we dont want u/ls is because we actually care about T&T. one of the things that really shocked me was when one of the people i was arguing with told me that she was a devoted fan but she felt no guilt u/ling the singles she bought. she said its her way of sharing "fandom love" and that i had no right to stop her.
ive backed out of the argument now because i think theres really no use talking to these people any more. theyre just not going to understand. when u're a fan of somebody/group, u're supposed to support them mentally (let them know how much u like them), physically (go to their events and show them that u'll physically be there to support), and financially (buying their releases and merchandise). i certainly dont doubt this girl's devotion to T&T, but even tho she is spreading fangirl love, what good will it do for T&T if the new potential fans only request and d/l? and we all kno the "i dont have a credit card" reason is just BS. read Ribi's rant about this if u havent already.
Theres a reason why T&T release music and work so hard to promote it. they want people to buy it. even if it is just one copy or version. i kno that filesharing doesnt affect much of T&T's income and surely filsharing happens in every fandom. but in T&T's case, it highly affects the way the media portrays them. they had the short end of the stick to begin with. the oricon charts are basically people's first impressions of them. if u were someone who just found out about T&T, the low rankings wouldnt be a very impressive first impression. that usually just gives an impression that "their music must suck." which could then "explain why they have such a low population of fans." (tho most of us are devoted fans).
these people have to understand that if this keeps up, Avex, Johnny's, and some of the fans are going to eventually give up on or give less to T&T to focus on something/someone that can get them more money and benefits.
why do u think there was so much promotion for Dame?
why do u think (even with these promotions) Dame was still so "dame"?
why do u think the past DVDs were so crappily packaged and prepared for?
why did KATTUN release something the same day as T&T?
ALL OF THESE THINGS HINT SOMETHING.
and it really broke my heart when people in that comment box started joking around saying that KATTUN was more popular than T&T, that the dame single sucked, that Takki's stupid and etc.... that was really uncalled for. joke or not.
i dont want to cry over these people, but i just feel so bad for T&T. is buying their music really too much to ask for? why are they the 'underdogs' when they obviously deserve so much more? why cant these people understand that u/ling their singles + albums is just going to do more harm than help? why dont these people feel guilty about it?
all i know is that if T&T knew about this argument, i believe they definitely wouldve stood up for me.

"if something that hurts you take place, when you understand the kind of hurt you feel in your heart, that would give you kindness and you would become mentally stronger; your ‘calibre’ as a human being would grow bigger. And then, the most important thing is not to forget the feeling of humility and gratitude."
